Actor, Tommy Lee Jones paraphrased someone whose name he could not recall, in a recent National Public Radio interview about his new movie, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (See it at http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/news/2005-05-21-cannes_x.htm) saying he sometimes felt like “a Buddhist soul in a Calvinist World,”then, when asked for his definition of faith, said, “Faith is what you know to be true, whether you believe it or not.”
Jones, who was raised in Midland, Texas, concluded the interview, saying, "I wanted to make a movie about the people of West and South Texas,. We are a bicultural society, and we're often demonized by people from other places. The underlying premise of this movie is that there is no border."
